The charity was founded in 1994 as a sustainable development vehicle to support and assist the local communities in 14 villages in the region of Banteay Srei (operating in country from 1999).
25 years after its foundation (and 25,000 people) later, we have evolved our work to focus primarily on a dance school – which has produced the internationally acclaimed Sacred Dancers of Angkor – and continue to give training in dance, music and craft skills at our Conservatoire in Banteay Srei.
In line with PM Hun Sen’s poverty reduction priority, we give ad-hoc healthcare, agriculture and water education to support the continued implementation of our 15 years of successful work in this area.
